Dear Eleazar ,
Your high d15N values are probably due to contamination
from CO (More 13C than 15N). We have been analyzing N2
gas from volcanoes routinely using a continuous flow
method. This allows us to separate N2 from other gases.
See Subduction and Recycling of Nitrogen Along the Central
American Margin, Science 297, 1154 (2002);
I have several related papers online at
http://epswww.unm.edu/facstaff/zsharp/homepage/hompage-v6_website/publications.html
Good luck,
Zach
