Twelve Mad Birders and friends spent a delightful morning on Mt. Ellen,
looking for Bicknells Thrush and other species. We heard five and saw
three individuals in the same locations found other years, cooperative
individuals giving everyone great looks from all angles. This is the
sixth year we have found Bicknells on Mt. Ellen in early June.
In addition to Bicknells, we heard/saw several Swainsons Thrush, Blackpoll
and Yellow-rumped Warblers, Winter Wren, White-throated Sparrow. There
were 12 species of warbler, 41 species total.
The weather today was perfect - clear, sunny, cool.
