Subject: Re: single source for electronic textbooks in VT
Guys I know what bookshare is and does, we just happen to use a dif product
Michale Ferguson is the person who is telling me that BOOKSHARE is the ONLY
place you can
"get textbooks in alternative formats for VT students"
apparently if you are using a different service (as we are) you arent
conforming to some policy/rule/law put out by the state.
I am checking with you (my collegeus) to see if anyone actually KNEW that
there was this requirement.
the questions that come to my mind are
-we cant use MFGR's e textbook?
-can we use a competing product for an assigned reading books (is that a
If anyone has an in with Michael, please help me figure this out.
It seems odd to me that the state doesnt dictate what texts we use, but
does dictate where and how we can get them in forms other than print.
