4:30 this afternoon a Black-billed Cuckoo was singing near the top of
Thompson Hill Road in Weybridge, north side of road 100 yards before the
junction with Snake Mt. Road.
Apologies for this late entry, but we took a trip up Whiteface Mountain in
the Adirondacks Saturday, 6/18 and saw and heard one Bicknell's Thrush
singing at around 3,500 feet. Two more were calling closer to the summit,
and our guides from the Wild Center in Tupper Lake thought they heard two
more calling in the distance. Other good looks included a Yellow-bellied
Flycatcher and a Red-eyed Vireo on a nest.
