Bob,
Your tip about the Server Array Configuration for the firewall settings was very helpful, and will be to anyone that does not want the firewall turned off. The rest of our test server installation went quite smooth. We just couldn't navigate to the URL from any system besides the server, unless we turned off the firewall. When I contacted support, they only suggested to check for Port 80 to be unblocked, but didn't seem to know about the list of ports in the Server Array Configuration section.

I finished migrating our test server from 6.2 to 7. Other than the
aforementioned problems, and a couple of other more minor glitches, it
went pretty smooth. I did the database load after the application
install rathe than before, but it worked fine that way. You also have to
shut off or reconfigure the Windows firewall on the server, that is
mentioned under Server Array Configuration in the instructions, which if
you're only running a single server like me you probably won't bother to
read, and they don't tell you how to do it, only that you need to. One
problem I had that was interesting was downloading the database installer.
The last 128k of the file got lopped off in the download, but the zip
file opened just fine, except that the .exe file to launch the application
was missing. I'd have thought I get a more obvious error if the file was
corrupted. Too bad Pearson doesn't supply checksums for the files, so you
can check if it's all there. I downloaded another copy, which takes a
half hour with our connection, that fixed that.
