My ISP has been Comcast for a couple of years and during that time my 
RDP connections between my home computer and my work computer 
(regardless of whether I'm connected through VPN from home or directly 
to home from work) need to reconnect extremely frequently--probably on 
the order of every few minutes.  Before Comcast I used Verizon/Fairpoint 
DSL with no problems.  Comcast was OK for a while too.  I don't seem to 
have problems with other connections that I make from home, i.e. my web 
hosting service via ssh or sftp.
