HEY GANG.
The VYO master classes I mentioned are Nov 5th for trombone and Nov
15th for bassoon. They are free to EVERYONE and ANYONE and are held at
Saint Michael's Elley Long Center. I will definitely be attending one
or both and am happy to organize car pooling if folks are interested.
Perhaps I'll put up a sign up sheet on the NAfME (NAf you, I hardly
know you!) board,

VYOA Trombone Day
Coordinated by Gabe Langfur
All things trombone, with artists Don Lucas, (Brass, Woodwind,
Percussion Chair, Boston University) James Box (principal trombonist,
Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal) Gabe Langfur (Vermont Symphony
Orchestra, Boston Symphony Pops, Rhode Island Philharmonic, VYOA
Reveille! Staff), and the Boston University Trombone Choir. The
musicians will be accompanied by pianist Ling Leng.
Trombone Day is FREE and open to all interested musicians, parents and
music educators.
Please bring a bag lunch or snack.
Masterclass participants will be assigned one of the three

VYOA Bassoon Day
Coordinated by Rachael Elliott with artist Dana Jessen
A day of all things bassoon: workshops, bassoon band (play works from
classical to Gaga!), and a master class with guest artist Dana Jessen
from 6:30-8 pm. Both composer and performer, Dana continues to explore
new performance techniques as a bassoonist while creating adventurous
new ways to communicate with audiences through composition.
Bassoon Day is FREE and open to all bassoonists, woodwind players,
parents and music educators.
