There is no statue about when you meet nor how many times you meet.  Our Abatement board does not have a set meeting a year but once an abatement is received, the board will schedule a meeting.

Hello all,

Does anyone know if anything in the law requires us to have our abatement
meeting in a certain month?  I can't find anything specifying.  We have
always had ours in December but after receiving the Legislative update this
morning regarding state school taxes and Irene, I am thinking it may be
better off to wait, since it says the Town portion must also be abated in
proportion.
