I am not aware of any particular month.  I think December is just sort of
"traditional".  We are apt to have them prior to tax sales.  Had some flood
related hearings last week and again last night.   Annette C

Hello all,

Does anyone know if anything in the law requires us to have our abatement
meeting in a certain month?  I can't find anything specifying.  We have
always had ours in December but after receiving the Legislative update this
morning regarding state school taxes and Irene, I am thinking it may be
better off to wait, since it says the Town portion must also be abated in
proportion.
