Yesterday (10/1) morning I debated with myself whether to go over to
the Lower Champlain Valley or stick closer to home given weather at
the time (rain) and the forecast (more rain).  I opted for the latter
(why considering the weather and bumper crop of mosquitoes? perhaps to
prove to myself that I still had it in me to tuff it out). So
Herrick's Cove it was. Conditions were much less than optimal for
thoroughly checking out the late warbler fallout: rain, lousy light,
foliage, birds in constant movement, and only one set of eyes.  Time:
0920-1330.  Species: 29.
