There was also a lone Coot at the north end of Berlin Pond yesterday late afternoon. I also saw the biggest flocks of Starlings I've ever seen in central VT, along with some grackles mixed in.
I was scopeless, unfortunately, but I also suspect there were Bonaparte's Gulls mixed in with a roosting flock of Ring-billed Gull mid-pond. Too dim and far away to be positive.

Subject: [VTBIRD] Coots and Wood Ducks
Coots were still present early this afternoon at the south end of Berlin pond. I saw four; there were probably more, but it was raining lightly and visibility was challenging. There were also four wood ducks: one beautiful male, one female, and two that were further out and appeared to be juveniles or females. All w ere swimming around in the midst of/near about 30 Canada geese. No luck spotting the horned grebe.
