A day when weather conditions would seem to dictate otherwise for the
observer, it turned out a bonanza on Lake Bomoseen for the birds! A brisk
north wind, a drop in temperature and the prospect/reality of snow may have
give a "push" to the south bound scoters and loons. Temperature differential
between water and air yielded a shimmering effect making scoping somewhat
difficult.
