Yes, I just read that the other day. One was a dead shearwater, the
other was a gannet in very bad shape, with some kind of neurological
issue. They did their best with the gannet, but it ultimately had to be
put down. They think the gannet's problem was not an injury but some
sort of preexisting problem, congenital or disease-related.
