Four of us went to confirm this obliging hummer today about 12:45- 1:05.  Very busy lady - actively chasing every bird in trees, shrubs, other feeders, on ground.  None of these were a threat to her food source, but she was unrelenting.   We did observe black 'bar', white tips and rufous patches on the tail... which points to female Selasphorus.  We did not take pictures knowing that Randy had contacted a NY bander who will be there tomorrow. In talking to the homeowner who actively feeds the birds, it seems possible this bird has been around a long time.  She assumed it was a Ruby-throated and just called Randy with concerns about how long it has been here.   She commented to us that her RTHU usually are gone by mid-Sept, but there have been regular sighting of a hummer coming to her feeder almost every day since mid-Sept.   Also observed in/from her yard:  1 kingfisher4 Chickadee8 Junco1 Tree Sp1 White throate Sp1 house finch
