Last week I posted some musings about Sandhill Cranes and the timing of their fall migration. I mentioned the Sandhill Cranes at Bosque del Apache in New Mexico, stating that they arrive in November and leave in February to migrate further south. Not true. As Barbara Miles pointed out to me the Bosque cranes leave in February and fly north to return to their breeding grounds in the Northwestern US, Canada, and Siberia.
Sorry for the misinformation and thanks to Barbara for setting me straight (north).
