Berlin Pond IBA, Washington, US-VT

Protocol: Traveling
3.0 mile(s)
Comments: A frosty morning greeted us on Berlin Pond, with a skim of
ice on the marshy side of Mirror Lake Rd. Waterfowl kept their distance and
were not easily viewed through the rising mist. Nine birders, including one
youth birder, joined NBNC's Chip Darmstadt to see what was about and to
possibly find something new for Washington Co. We are currently at 190
species for the year, 13 more than all of last year, with 2 months left to
go in the County Quest.
