Late report of odd migrant geese over Grand Isle -- March 20, 2011.
Canada Goose x Greater White-fronted hybrids, a "common" hybrid.
They might come back through VT this season, but
it's likely that the geese are migrating south somewhere farther west?
I found a May 2011 eBird listing of one or more hybrid GWFG x CAGO
for Colorado, which would be a more normal migration route.
I put a partial photo of the March 20th geese on VT eBird Flickr;

(http://www.flickr.com/photos/25681757@N00/6316619167/in/pool-vtebird)
it is best viewed at maximum size.
I didn't know how to post a larger pdf file on the web.
The photograph is of one of the 150-175 flocks of dark geese --
7000-8000 geese -- viewed from 10:00 to 11:30 on March 20th.
