This morning I had a single sanderling in the north corner of Blanchard Beach, Burlington. Also present: 1 Herring gull, 16 Ring-billed gulls.
Closer to downtown-- a raft of ~40 Common Goldeneye were off Blodgett Beach, with several Common Mergs also in the area. Herring Gulls and G. Black-backed gulls were out on the exposed rocks offshore, while ring-billed were on the sand at the shoreline. mixed in with the ring-billeds was a single Bonaparte's Gull (one with very bright orange legs).
