Thanks to Jon Katz's report of a Sanderling at Blanchard Beach in
Burlington, seen about 11-11:30 am Tuesday, I tried for the bird this
afternoon.
There were no shorebirds in the Blanchard sandy beach area, so I then
tried walking further along the shore to the south and west of the sandy
beach area.
Very quickly I spotted the juvenile Sanderling, peacefully feeding in
the shore area, which at that point is rocky with some muddy areas
between the rocks.
This was about 3:10-3:40 pm.
