With just a little more than a week left in 2011 and the Vermont Bird
County Quest, I'd like to encourage you all to get out birding and get your
checklists into Vermont eBird. We are on a record setting clip and we can
close out the year with some amazing numbers!
The eBird score card for 2011:
22,392 checklists! Can we hit 25,000?
1,850,143 birds counted! Can we hit 2 million?
286 species and counting. Can we hit 290?
And of course, there are some real fun contests running down to the wire.

Whatever we end up with, 2011 has been an historic year for collecting bird
data across Vermont. Thanks for all your hard "work" !
