In my back yard: Rose Breasted Grosbeak, and that includes it's gorgeous "stop me dead in my tracks" spring song.

In England: Fulmars, soaring stiff-winged around the cliffs of Cornwall. (Still hoping to see a Chough in the wild.) And I am very partial to Mute Swans for elegance of line & motion.

Shelagh Smith in Leicester, who had a f. Pileated Woodpecker in the garden yesterday, gobbling down wild grapes in the trees.
