This afternoon at Charlotte beach there was a Greater White - fronted
Goose hanging out with about 700 Canada Geese and two Snow Geese. It
appears to be a juvenile of the Greenland sub species - no white on
the front of the face and an orange bill as opposed to pinkish. I
first saw it sleeping on the beach and when it stood up the sight of
bright orange legs said this wasn't your basic goose! Pretty exciting
to think of where this gal/guy has been over the last few months.
Also, a White Winged Scooter, Double Crested Cormorant and Cooper's
Hawk were at Shelburne Bay fishing access for a second day in a row-
the Cormorant standing on the exact same, very small rock on the west
shore of the Bay both days....
