After you restored a new iPad with your image, did you keep the same name on the iPad, or rename it? A new name should allow Find my iPad to work.

The problem that I have discovered is that Find my iPad no longer works on the ones I restored from the backup. This wouldn't be a problem expect for the fact that several times teachers have forgotten that they have iPads in their room, so locking the iPad or playing a sound is a definite way to get them returned. Any suggestions? Should I just install a different app that tracks the device?
