We too have had brown creepers at our feeders. We once had three at one time going for the peanut butter mix. We feed it on short, three inch diameter logs hanging from a tree branch. It is hilarious to see them spiral up the tree trunk, eye the feeder and try to fly to it. They somehow adjust their feeding habit and manage it .Marv Elliott

I have been getting a brown creeper frequently coming to trees near the house.
For the birds, I spread a peanut butter/lard/corn meal mix in crevices on a
maple snag and have observed the brown creeper feeding on it.
I think that is, at least partially, why it comes around - which is nice for Feeder
Watch. I didn't think of brown creepers as attracted to putting food out, like
some other birds, but this one seems to indicate they will.
Also saw a bluebird in a nearby neighborhood yesterday and today the chipmunk
was out here.
