At the Champlain Bridge yesterday there continued to be larger numbers
of birds, though little variety. Ice has melted back to the bridge from
the north and an open channel extends under the bridge and a 1000 feet
to the southeast beyond.
Also, there were 922 Canada Geese jam packed together on a wee bit of
ice at Lake Dunmore. A Common Loon and 19 Mallards rounded out the
Champlain Bridge, Addison, US-VT

bird seen with scaup 12-31-2011 nearby at DAR Park.
