I'm teaching an online class and suggested Bb Mobile Learn as an app to
access the course site on Bb for those needing access on the road. However,
if they do not have wi-fi, they receive this message:
"Sorry your institution's configuration does not allow access via celluar
connection. Please connect to a Wi-Fi network and try again."
Another message that has been received by another carrier:
"Sorry, you can't access the application. You'll be able to login using the
application if your institution licenses Blackboard Mobile Learn. Or, Sprint
users can use Blackboard Mobile Learn at no cost to the institution due to a
partnership between Sprint and Blackboard."
What might students expect in the near future regarding cell-phone access to
Bb? Seems like there's a need for agreements with a variety of service
Thanks, Colleen MacKinnon
