There was a very loose, small group of Bohemian Waxwings along the
river at the North Branch Nature Center in Montpelier today. They were
not eating fruit of any kind, but behaving more like flycatchers. They
were also exploring bark crevices for morsels, insect or sap?. I have
seen Cedar Waxwings behaving like flycatchers in late summer and early
fall, but never Bohemians.
I'd like to know more.
