Hello Vermont Birders:
I stepped out of my car in the Hannaford parking lot on the west side of
Route 7 in South Burlington today and immediately heard the nasal calls of
a Fish Crow (FICR). In classic New England FICR habitat, the bird was
perched behind the Burger King. It then flew over to the treeline in front
of Lowe's and continued calling.
Are the pines behind these large stores a known breeding site? Just
wondering if this was a returning bird to a reliable spot.
