Hi Jacob,
You don't need to specify the "mail/" prefix for the IMAP server any
longer. This became unnecessary when imap.uvm.edu moved to Dovecot back
in early 2010.
Helen's suggestion (turning off folder subscriptions, or subscribing to
the sent-mail and received-mail folders) is a good one. I took a look
at your account and the folders exist, but you are not subscribed to them.
