When I have connected my iPod Touch 3 to my PC over the past year I
gotten this message at least 20 times with a Windows 7 iTunes library
with latest versions of software on each.
Over a dozen times I've performed 'Erase and Sync' and if I disconnect
the cable and reconnected within about a minute the error messages does
not appear. However, if I wait 10 minutes and reconnect than the
"is synced with another iTunes library" reappears.
There are other PCs (some with iTunes and other iPhone owners), though
I can't tell that my iPod is syncing with any of them.
I've tried various combinations of 'Erase and Sync' and 'Transfer
Purchases' based on
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
I can only test this realistically at home, so I'm posting Saturday
afternoon and hope to debug this then.
