It must be time for Lunas. We have one perched on our front porch wall since last night. Lovely, indeed.

Subject: [VTBIRD] Beautiful "bird"
On Friday we were sitting on our porch and I spotted what I thought was very
retty bird fly rather rapidly from one tree to another. It was completely one
olor, a light greenish yellow. Naturally we had never seen bird at our home
hat color. We thought it might be an escapee or that perhaps the sun had
aught a Goldfinch. That was the last of it until this morning.
This morning we found a large wounded moth on our porch and it was indeed what
e had seen on Friday. Our butterfly book identified it as a Lunar moth and it
s a beautiful animal. Unfortunately part of its tail was ripped off and it
urely was near its end. Our book said they can be as large as 4.5 inches so
hat is why we thought it was a bird flying from tree to tree.
It was a first for us.
