Yesterday while hiking on Pico Mtn (in Rutland County), I heard/saw all the
"normal", mountain birds (white throated sparrows, juncos, blackpoll
warblers), but I was kind of suprised to hear several (at least 2)
Bicknells calling in the sunshine at 12:30 in the afternoon.  Great to hear
them!!  They were just to the east of the summit lift station (around 3950
feet elevation), and were still calling when I headed down the mtn.
