Second brood of Phoebes (three) fledged this week. Garden & tractor shed seem empty without them. Woods walk a couple of days ago had me standing still listening to a singing Wood Thrush on my left and a Hermit Thrush on my right, then we encountered a Common Yellowthroat scouring a hazel bush and loud Ovenbirds. Baby Crows seem to be moving away, thank goodness! I don't mind sharing the ripening blueberries with the Catbird & Waxwings, but those Crows just crash the bushes, even breaking the heavily laden branches (not to mention the endless NOISE).
