Hello Vermont Birders:
I want to share a few items of note this week reflecting the changing times.
In the marsh along Nowland Farm Road (north side - adjacent the the golf
course) in South Burlington two evening ago, I noticed two
fresh-out-of-the-wrapper *juvenile Northern Harriers* bumping each other
from perch to perch.
Two mornings ago in my South Burlington backyard, I saw a *Blue-winged
Warbler *for the first time here and had calling Purple Finch and
Red-breasted Nuthatch for the first time in months.
Fresh juvenile Ring-billed Gulls are popping up all over and this morning
at Delta Park in Colchester, a *juvenile Caspian Tern* was flying around
and giving a very high-pitched begging call. The only migrant shorebird I
noticed there was a Least Sandpiper.
