It was lovely cool and refreshing day for a nice group of folks to tour the W.Rutland Marsh on Rutland County Audubon's 11th year of recording bird species. The marsh wren families were active and 2 least bitterns
gave brief glimpses as they flew up and down amongst the cattails. Common yellowthroats lived up to their name and redstarts gave us some good views.
Flycatchers were singing away and several of us heard a muskrat chewing on cattails.
