Peter and I were astonished at our good fortune to arrive at the clearing of
Holt's Ledge (on the Appalachian Trail near Lyme Center NH) today as a
family of PEREGRINE FALCONS were putting on a clinic on aerial tricks in the
gorgeous green valley below and around us.

The two young'uns were screeching like banshees as they and their presumed
parents  entertained us for a half hour.  They soared, they strafed each
other, they DOVE like champions!   What fun.
