Hi all,
I was at Delta Park this morning and had 11 species of shorebirds. I arrived
there at 5:42 a.m. and got back to my vehicle at 7:41 a.m. I then called Ted
M. & Jim O. and since they were on the way, decided to go back out and the
3 of us birded until 10:12 a.m. I found a Red-necked Phalarope (j) at 6:57
a.m. A birder named Kevin (sorry I forgot his last name) was there and he was
able to get a look at it through my scope before it took off for good. It only
stayed for no more than 2 minutes. I also had a total of 20 Sanderlings at
7:41 a.m. When Ted, Jim & I were counting them together 4 more had arrived
for a total of 24. It did not rain at all while I was out there. Good luck to
others if you go out there.
