Interesting observation/question!
My experience is that Alder Flycatchers are consistently vocal "singers" in and near Enosburgh Town Forest (ETF) from late May through the second week of June, then go quiet.
This year, I've noticed resumed "singing" in late July/early August.

Subject: [VTBIRD] Alder Fly still singing
Hello Vermont Birders:
I recently moved from South Burlington to Hinesburg. There is some pretty
decent habitat surrounding this house and my new yard list already has a
few gems. Starting a new yard list is one of the only perks of moving.
One of the bigger surprises to me is a Alder Flycatcher that is still
singing his head off in the morning. Call notes are to be expected but to
still be in full song every morning for an early departing Empid is
surprising to me. Anybody else still have consistently singing Alder
Flycatcher out there? Is this the odd bird or do I need to recalibrate my
calendar?
Just curious,
