I am seeing a single Giant Swallowtail on my Monarda almost daily this summer. Another species extending it's range northwards. Is there a Vermont Butterfly Yahoo group?
But this is the first summer in years that I haven't seen a turkey brood parading through the garden, and the morning Loon wake-up calls have ceased.
Common Yellowthroats busy up and down the tall heliopsis stalks. Sharing our blueberries with Catbirds, Cedar Waxwings, two Robins and chipmunks. Still plenty for the freezer! Shelagh Smith near Fern Lake.
