Yes. Chipmunks, mice, flying squirrels...
I haven't had that here, though, because I've got my two nestboxes in
the open and mounted on smooth (stainless steel?) posts, which I smear
with silicone grease every year or so to keep both the little rodents
and possible predators from climbing them.
