Possibly a reverse migrant on the heels of the strong southerlies. Cool sighting.

Thinking just a late season migrating Turkey Vulture I soon became suspicious of its quick wingbeats and more horizontally held wings. I'm glad I took a minute to pull over because once I put my binoculars on it , it's obvious white wing tips confirmed a Black Vulture - my first sighting in Vt, only the fourth for Chittenden Co. and the latest record for the State!
