In the wee hours of this morning I looked out the window to see a, presumably,
barred owl perched on the metal pole where the bird feeders hang from. I
assumed it was looking for rodents feeding on the birdseed on the ground.
This afternoon I saw a flock of bohemian waxwings in the trees at the Rawson
Library in Jericho. There also is an exhibit of whimsical rustic birdhouses there,
but it ends tomorrow.
