When I lived in Waitsfield I was visited in the winter by a fisher that
came up onto the deck to eat seed that had spilled from the feeders.
Considering they are generally predators I was a bit surprised but winter
can be a difficult time. The only other fishers I have encountered have
been in the woods or crossing a road. Always an interesting and welcome
