Unlike last year, I had not seen a robin at all this winter. Yesterday,
Bill and I drove up to Wenlock WMA. As we approached Westmore, we saw 9
robins in a tree by the road. The next building we passed was the
restaurant, "Robin's Roost." Smile number one for the day!
The birds were very quiet at Wenlock but the woods were beautiful and the
snowshoeing fun. Our small list:
Sharp-shinned Hawk 1
Rock Pigeon 4
Hairy Woodpecker 1
Gray Jay 1
American Crow 1
Black-capped Chickadee 14
Red-breasted Nuthatch 6
Golden-crowned Kinglet 1
White-winged Crossbill 9
Martha
(Usually birding in Westford)
