The Common Porchard clearly has an aluminum band on it's right leg.  
Don't be so quick to dismiss this bird as wild because someone claims 
to have seen a red plastic band.  Larry Master's photo clearly shows the 
silver band on the right foot.  Hopefully Tom has some pictures that will 
clear contribute to this debate.

It is very disappointing that certain members of State Records 
Committees are so quick to dismiss rare bird finds and have a very 
negative attitude.  Some people are determined to dismiss rare birds 
with little factual data.  Tropical Storm Sandy has produce several great 
birds.  Enjoy this wild bird!
