Tripped up NY Rte 22 today to Port Henry and back over the Champlain bridge and south. Intermittant spitting rain, but not during viewing times.
Others long before me at Port Henry had not been able to locate the C Pochard... altho it's highly likely it is still around within the huge rafts of mostly goldeyes that are floating on the open waters. I didn't either... nor the Tufted Duck, Glaucous Gull, Canvasback... and I didn't even attempt to count birds except from DAR park. Some good birds tallied on my way home, however. See below. THANK YOU Ian and Ron for your stats... and endurance counting. Sorry I missed you.
This interesting article is about the plight of razorbills etc ending up in FL.
