-Lindsay ([log in to unmask]) & Kathryn ([log in to unmask]) & Anna ([log in to unmask]): With the times you were available, there were relatively few schools that would work for you. Currently, we are waiting on another school to see if you could go there! Until then, you can take it upon yourself to join another group if that works for you!
Now that you know the school you will be working at and who you will be volunteering with, we suggest that you first talk with your partner(s) and exchange information (ex: phone numbers, talk about how you will get to the school, when you will leave, etc.). After you have done this, you should contact your afterschool coordinator. Once you have spoken to them, you can begin volunteering as soon as you are ready. Most of the schools will be on February break next week, but you can still contact the coordinator to introduce yourselves and plan when you will actually begin volunteering. All of the groups that do not have a car are able to either walk or take the bus to your location.
All of campus is currently undergoing a software switch for booking rooms so we were unable to plan a meeting for this week. Unfortunately, we will both not be in Burlington next Thursday so we had to give this information over email. We are looking to hold our first meeting the week after break (3/11). Hopefully you will have had a chance to go to your schools by then, although we realize with the breaks this will not be feasible for you all. In another email, we will provide a lesson plan to start you off.
