Unfortunately, I must inform everyone who was planning on attending any of the several debate tournaments that were planned to happen on the Cornell campus this coming weekend that they are now cancelled due to weather related concerns. The safety of the debaters and judges is our first and foremost concern. At this time, we are not planning to reschedule for later in the year. Those that cannot change their travel plans at this time and find themselves in Ithaca please let us know and we will attempt to host you to the best of our ability.
Thank you.
Best,
Sam

Subject: Re: Cornell Snowstorm
Vermont has cancelled our trip for the weekend. It pains us, with 13
teams ready to go, but they are saying it is the worst storm in 3 years.
It is heaviest when we would leave.
It is heaviest in the zone we would drive through.
Take care of yourselves, folks. We cannot train debaters to change the
world if they die on the roads.
But, if this weather forecast is inaccurate, I am going to be some upset!

I lived in Ithaca for a year, it's a cool place to hang out in on a Friday afternoon. The commons is neat. Lots of study/work space in and around campus. The Short Stop Deli is open 24 hours (lots of vegan options)so get to town early ( if possible). Looking forward to seeing you all at one of my favorite tournaments!
