To the Campus Community
We have received inquiries as to whether the University plans to cancel
classes and close offices due to anticipated weather conditions on
Friday, February 9, 2013.
Under the current forecast, it is highly unlikely that conditions will
be severe enough to necessitate a University shutdown. The forecast
predicts blizzard conditions for portions of southern New England, but
it is only calling for moderate snowfall for Northern Vermont.
It is likely that the City of Burlington will issue a winter parking
ban. Information will be forwarded as soon as it is received.
The Emergency Operations Group is monitoring the weather carefully and
if circumstances change suddenly, we will alert you through CatAlert.
Thank you,
Gary Derr
