Thanks, Michele!! Redhead was seen again today by Bruce McPherson and me.
It had been in the southern side of the bay (near the sailing center),
feeding in small open areas, before slipping away to the north side on the
other side of the ferry landing. Bruce commented on how "content" the bird
looked. Well, we were also very content, getting great looks in lovely

There was a male redhead at the Charlotte Ferry today, Monday, February 4 at
3:45 pm. It was hanging out with a small group of mallards in the bay to the
west of landing, and occasionally swimming with the Canada geese. We
observed it for 45 minutes, and it was still there when we left.
